Hands On with "Gotham City Impostors"
The world of Batman in the game was clearly targeted, is not it? As if good reputation of the Dark Knight (and not so reputable) news was not enough, the 2009 "Batman: Arkham Asylum" is definitely a classic. (And if you do not believe us, just check CBR Top 10 Comic Book Games of All Time - Batsy rules clearly the number one slot.) If you want a sequel, "Batman: Arkham City" is ready to burst in and dominate the game market on October 18, for both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
But that's not enough to satisfy Warner Bros. Games.The company still wants to make the most of the Batman franchise, but how to do it without going into too much territory? Original concept - is exactly what they provide with "impostors Gotham City", a game that pits two fans of The Dark Knight and his greatest adversary, the Joker, in a battle through the streets of Gotham City . Oh, and here's the kicker - it is a shooter first-person.
Knowing Batman has a strict "no kill" policy, an FPS based on the Batman universe may leave some confused, or wonder if Warner Bros. is laying a golden egg the size of the "Green Lantern "movie.But there are actually some good things at work here, thanks to the development team at Monolith, who previously worked on mood, ugly games of "fear" franchise. It should not be taken seriously, however. In fact, they go for style over-the-top that could easily fit the crown prince of crime like a glove.
Rather than feature Batman and the Joker themselves, "Gotham City impostors" instead focuses on everyday people, living their lives day and turns into a gun-toting crazy at night.The characters include Justin masochistic accountant, Nick paranoid garbage man (he might want to watch what he deals with bags), Joe the Plumber passive aggressive and tyrannical student Bridget (pray for teachers .) Once their alternative lifestyles take over, they come together in teams of four and clothes that look like slip or wear dark Batman fight against crime or a colorful wardrobe of the Joker. From there, they seize weapons and began to take Gotham City, a section at a time.
